Here’s how to unlock the Bene Gesserit class in Dune Awakening, including both the basic and advanced trainer locations explained step by step.

Dune: Awakening is a massive open-world survival MMO set on the planet of Arrakis. From fighting to crafting to surviving the brutal desert, there’s a lot to handle. One of the most important choices you make early on is your class, also called your Mentor or School.

There are five classes in the game: Trooper, Swordmaster, Mentat, Planetologist, and Bene Gesserit. Each of them has its own unique skill trees, playstyle, and progression. In this guide, we’re focusing on the Bene Gesserit class, specifically, how to unlock it and where to find the trainers you’ll need, both for the basic and advanced stages.

How the Bene Gesserit Class Works

The Bene Gesserit are masters of control, speed, and survival. Their abilities let you manipulate enemies, move quickly around them, and recover from damage more effectively than most other classes. If you’re the kind of player who likes being fast, flexible, and hard to pin down, this class has a lot to offer.

You start with the Compel ability right out of the gate and instantly get access to the full Bene Gesserit skill tree. But there’s more to unlocking the class fully; you’ll eventually want to find the Advanced Trainer to upgrade your abilities even further.

Bene Gesserit Basic Trainer Location

The first step to accessing the Bene Gesserit skill tree is finding the basic trainer, Sister Mesa.

You’ll find her near the southern edge of the Shield Wall, right where it connects to Jabal Eifrit. This is on top of a huge rock formation that’s part of the Helius Gate fortifications, hard to miss once you get close. Head to the top of that area to meet Sister Mesa and begin your class path.

She’ll offer you a quest called “The Missing Pieces.” Completing it gives you access to the Bene Gesserit skill tree and unlocks your first set of abilities.

Bene Gesserit Advanced Trainer Location

Once you’ve worked through the basic quests and want to push the class even further, it’s time to seek out the advanced Bene Gesserit trainer: Jocasta Cleo.

She’s located in Harko Village, which you can reach using fast travel if you’ve unlocked the route. Finding her isn’t as straightforward as the basic trainer, though. Jocasta is tucked away in a tunnel beneath the raised part of the village, near the weapon stall. The area can be dimly lit, so keep an eye out for a glowing blue light to help you spot her.

Just like Sister Mesa, Jocasta offers a multi-step questline. These quests usually involve venturing into Fremen ruins and completing various tasks. Once you finish the chain, you’ll unlock the advanced Bene Gesserit skills and even get a powerful weapon as a bonus reward.

The Bene Gesserit class takes time to fully unlock, especially the advanced path. But that’s actually one reason why it’s a great starting class: you gain access to powerful tools gradually, which helps you learn and grow with the class over time.
